As updates on the impact of the coronavirus continue to be released, we want to take a moment to inform you of the heightened preventative measures we have put in place at Huntington Comprehensive Treatment Center to keep our patients, their families, and our employees safe. All efforts are guided by and in adherence to the recommendations distributed by the CDC.

In adherence to the social distancing recommendations provided by the CDC, we have implemented strict protocols at our clinic to ensure the safety of our patients and staff.

  • Patients who have active symptoms of illness or a fever of 100 degrees or higher must call ahead to arrange after-hours dosing.
  • The number of people allowed inside the building at any given time is restricted based on county, state, and federal guidelines.
  • The number of people waiting in line is restricted based on county, state, and federal guidelines, and those present must maintain a minimum distance of six feet from one another.
  • To maintain line restrictions, patients are asked to wait in their cars until direction is given.

Huntington Comprehensive Treatment Center provides medication-assisted treatment for men and women, aged 18 and older, who have been struggling with an opioid addiction. Our comprehensive treatment includes the use of specified prescription medications, along with a blend of therapeutic interventions.

The dedicated staff of physicians, nurses, and counselors at Huntington Comprehensive Treatment Center provides individualized treatment to patients struggling with addictions to heroin, prescription painkillers, and morphine. Our qualified staff works closely with patients on an individualized basis in order to monitor and administer the proper medications for their specific treatment needs. Medications used at Huntington Comprehensive Treatment Center include:

  • Subutex
  • Suboxone
  • Methadone
  • Vivitrol

Physicians will work individually with patients to determine which specific medication would be the best fit based on their specific needs, as well as their current health status. Dosage recommendations as well as any dosing changes made throughout the program will also be determined on an individual basis. Our highly trained physicians will work with each patient to ensure the correct medication and dosage is prescribed.

We feel that through therapeutic interventions patients are able to develop a deeper understanding of the root causes for their addiction. By understanding what may have caused and contributed to their addiction, patients are able to learn healthy ways of coping and move forward without the aid of opioids. Huntington Comprehensive Treatment Center utilizes counselor-led therapy sessions in order to provide patients with the support and encouragement needed to be effective in recovery.
